Hi. My name is Suzannah
I am a licensed professional counselor and I work with couples and individuals 16 years of age and up. My focus is to offer a safe and therapeutic environment in which you can find acceptance, discover your inner strengths, and achieve greater self-awareness. I enjoy helping others experience decreased emotional suffering, enhanced relationships, and meaningful change in their lives. I work collaboratively with you to customize a treatment plan to fit your individual needs.
Some of my training includes Gottman Method Couples Counseling Levels 1 & 2, pre-marital training using the Symbis assessment, and EMDR training and certification for trauma. I have learned from a variety of evidence-based models including Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Narrative therapy.
I have been married to my husband since 1990 and together we have eight children; half are biological and half are adopted from foster care. In my 28-year parenting journey, I have 25 years of homeschooling experience. I have always had a heart for adoption, and I understand the attachment-based issues that underly the adoption process such as attachment disorders, behavioral difficulties, and abandonment issues.
I offer Christian Counseling upon request to help you integrate your faith into counseling in order to enjoy greater spiritual growth and satisfaction.
